Scary Abortion Movie a Microcosm of American Christianity

I’ve spoken of theology and culture as an entertaining intersection before, but sometimes we cringe in the aftermath of a particularly ugly collision.  This is one of those times.

This movie is a fantastic microcosm of the relationship between the Christian church and American society; the church tries to kidnap people into the kingdom while society looks on in laughter.  But maybe the makers of this film are right– wasn’t it Jesus  that said  (with scary clown paint on face and chainsaw in hand) “I don’t care if you’re my follower or not, I’m gonna make you act like one?
